Susy Zanardo is an Associate Professor of Moral Philosophy at the European University of Rome since October 1, 2011. She has held various academic positions including teaching Fundamental Ethics at the Almo Collegio Borromeo, University of Pavia, Philosophical Anthropology at the Aloisianum Philosophical Institute in Padua, and was a part-time lecturer in Moral Philosophy at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

Susy Zanardo's research focuses on three main areas. First, she analyzes human desire as transcendental practical intentionality and intersubjective relations as historical objects where desire stops. Second, she explores feminist thought with reference to American gender studies and Italian and French sexual difference theory. Third, she examines the relationship between body, ethics, and technology, particularly the influence of consciousness technologies on psychic and collective identification processes.
Her scholarly output demonstrates consistent focus on sexual difference, gift theory, and the ethics of late modernity. She has examined topics ranging from surrogacy and violence against women to the symbolic of male-female alliance and work-life balance challenges, with her most recent work addressing interculturality and environmental sustainability within applied ethics.
Susy Zanardo has received recognition through various academic appointments and editorial roles:
- Scientific Secretary of CEGA (2006-2007)
- Secretary of the Italian Society of Moral Philosophy (2013-2015)
- Member of the scientific committee of Orthotes publishing house (since 2016)
- Member of the editorial committee of "Aggiornamenti sociali" (since 2019)
- Guest lecturer at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg in 2018
Throughout her career, Professor Zanardo has been actively involved in teaching and research on ethics, philosophy of the body, gender theory, and sexual difference. She has contributed to numerous academic publications and has taught in various specialized master's programs including in sexology, artificial intelligence ethics, and women's studies.
