Reichlin Massimo is a Full Professor of Moral Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. Since August 2022, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. He teaches Ethics of Life and Ethical Theory, and has previously taught Bioethics at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology. He has held visiting or contract professorships at the University of Bergamo, Humanitas University, and the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy.
Research Interests: His work spans Contemporary Ethics (especially neo-Kantian and deontological theories), History of Ethics (utilitarianism, conscience), Bioethics (beginning and end-of-life issues, conscientious objection), and Neuroethics (moral psychology, cognitive enhancement, brain-computer interfaces). He has extensively published on Kant, Sidgwick, Hume, Mill, and Moore.
The most recent publications reflect a strong engagement with emerging ethical challenges in neuroscience and biotechnology, including human brain organoids, Neuralink, human enhancement, and the moral status of boundary entities. These works are interdisciplinary, combining philosophy, medicine, and social policy, and are published in leading journals and edited volumes.

Research Projects: He has led or participated in multiple national and international research initiatives funded by the EU (BIOMED-2, FP6), MIUR (PRIN, FIRB), Italian Ministry of Health, and Fondazione Cariplo, focusing on solidarity, animal experimentation, human enhancement, and elderly care innovation.
