Susi Ferrarello is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Humanistic Clinical Psychology at Saybrook University. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Sorbonne in Paris. Her teaching expertise spans ethics, sexuality, philosophy, history, and languages including Latin and Ancient Greek. Her research focuses on bioethics, emotional problems, and the philosophical underpinnings of human relationships. Recent publications include works on bioethics and emotions, and she collaborates on projects with institutions like Columbia University (SafeLab) on digital ethics in healthcare, the University of Paris on well-being definitions, and the University of Malmo on empathy and ethics. She also serves as a philosophical consultant.
Her academic contributions include books such as The Role of Bioethics in Emotional Problems (2021), Human Emotions and the Origin of Bioethics (2020), and Sex, Love and Intimacy (2018). These works explore intersections between ethics, emotional well-being, and societal structures. Current projects emphasize applied ethics in technology, cross-cultural well-being frameworks, and empathy's role in ethical decision-making.
