Susanne Schmetkamp

Susanne Schmetkamp is a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy and Media Studies at the University of Siegen, specializing in practical philosophy and aesthetics. Her research explores empathy, perspectivity, and aesthetic experience, with a focus on the pragmatist philosophy of John Dewey and Stanley Cavell. She has held visiting and teaching positions at institutions including the University of Basel, Free University of Berlin, and University of Zurich.
