Susanne Kelfve is a Senior Associate Professor and Head of Division at the Division of Ageing and Social Change (ASC) within the Department of Culture and Society (IKOS) at Linköping University. Her research focuses on social inequality in later life, particularly how societal structures, individual life courses, and social policies intersect to shape health, longevity, and quality of life among older adults. She specializes in methodological challenges in population studies, emphasizing equitable representation in research and policy.
Her work utilizes large-scale population datasets and register data to analyze factors influencing aging populations. She leads the ASC division, which conducts interdisciplinary research on aging's social, political, and cultural dimensions. Kelfve has advised PhD students such as Mattias Antar and Landry Botokou and collaborates with researchers like Ingemar Kareholt and Andreas Motel-Klingebiel. She is affiliated with the Division of Social Work (SOCARB) and contributes to Linköping University’s broader academic community.
