Annette Sverker is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Docent at Linköping University's Department of Culture and Society (IKOS), affiliated with the Division of Social Work (SOCARB). Her work focuses on participation in everyday life among individuals with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and multi-sick elderly populations.
Her research includes the TIRA project (Early Interventions in Rheumatoid Arthritis) and studies on targeted primary care for elderly patients. Key areas of exploration include chronic illness adaptation, healthcare system coordination, and patient participation in care planning. She holds appointments at multiple university divisions including HMV (Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences) and PRNV (Prevention, Rehabilitation and Community Medicine).
Her recent publications (2023-2025) address topics like proactive care planning in primary healthcare and longitudinal studies of RA patients' lived experiences. These works emphasize qualitative methodologies to understand patient perspectives.
