Åsa Larsson Ranada is an Associate Professor and Docent in Occupational Therapy at Linköping University’s Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences (HMV), within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (MEDFAK). Her research focuses on the daily lives of the oldest elderly, technology use, and participation in society. She leads the research group Participation in Later Life (PiL), exploring how technology can support aging in place and enhance quality of life.
Education includes a Doctor of Medicine in Aging and Later Life (2009), a Docent in Occupational Therapy (2024), and clinical experience as a licensed occupational therapist since 1989. She teaches in the Occupational Therapy Programme at Linköping’s Norrköping campus, specializing in thesis supervision and qualitative methods.
