Susann Fiedler

Susann Fiedler is a Professor of Experimental and Behavioral Economics at the University of Cologne's Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences. Her research investigates cooperation in social dilemmas, prosocial behavior, and the psychological drivers of moral judgments using experimental methods. She directs the Economic Cognition Research Group and contributes to policy-relevant studies on energy conservation and water management.

Recent publications examine generational differences in norm enforcement and behavioral interventions for sustainability. Her work combines laboratory experiments with large-scale field studies to test institutional designs promoting cooperative behavior.

Recognized as a Member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, she advocates for methodological rigor in psychological research and open science practices.
