Susan Persia

Susan Persia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Widener University. She holds an OTD from Thomas Jefferson University, an MS in Occupational Therapy, and a BA in Psychology from Temple University. Her research focuses on mindfulness to reduce burnout among occupational therapy practitioners and students, contemplative pedagogy, and the role of yoga/mindfulness in well-being. She is certified in aquatic therapy, Ayers sensory integration, pelvic health, and perinatal care. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive learning environments and self-care integration.
