Nakia L. Lynn

Nakia L. Lynn is the Director of Fieldwork Education and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Widener University. She holds an OTD from Chatham University, an MS and BS from Thomas Jefferson University, and a CAPS certification in home modifications for aging in place. Her clinical expertise spans 15+ years in home care for adults and older adults.

Her research focuses on Clinical and Professional Reasoning, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Occupational Justice, and JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging). She chairs the JEDI Ad-Hoc Committee in the Philadelphia Region Fieldwork and Capstone Consortium, emphasizing equity in healthcare education. Dr. Lynn has taught courses such as neurorehabilitation, behavioral health, and clinical skills across the lifespan.

She remains active in clinical practice in home care while advancing educational initiatives through her role in fieldwork coordination and faculty development.
