Susan Holbrook is a Professor in the Department of English and Creative Writing at the University of Windsor. She holds a B.A. Hons. from the University of Victoria, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Calgary. Her work focuses on contemporary poetry and poetics, Canadian Literature, American Modernism, gender studies, and creative writing. Holbrook is the author of poetry collections such as Throaty Wipes (GG-nominated) and Joy Is So Exhausting, and co-editor of The Letters of Gertrude Stein and Virgil Thomson. She also authored the textbook How to Read (and Write About) Poetry (Broadview, 2015). Currently, she serves as poetry editor for Coach House Press and is editing Daphne Marlatt’s collected poetry.
