Her research focuses on intersections of dance, gender, and visual culture in early 20th-century Germany, particularly during the Weimar Republic and Bauhaus era. She explores how dance imagery reflects societal shifts and embodies interdisciplinary methodologies.
Her seminal work, Marking Modern Movement: Dance and Gender in the Visual Imagery of the Weimar Republic (2020), examines dance as a lens for analyzing gender and cultural politics. She has also contributed essays on Bauhaus dance to edited volumes like New German Dance Studies (2012) and Bauhaus Bodies (2019), emphasizing body culture and design history.
