Susan Charman is a Professor and Director of the Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation at Monash University's Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research focuses on ADME-informed drug candidate optimisation, particularly for neglected and tropical infectious diseases. She leads projects targeting malaria, schistosomiasis, and other parasitic infections, with a strong emphasis on translating basic discoveries into clinical candidates.
