Suntina Sun is a Lecturer in Accounting at Swansea University's School of Management, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a BSc in International Economics and Trade from Dalian Maritime University, an MSc in Finance and Accounting from the University of Sheffield, and a PhD in Accounting from the University of Southampton. Her research focuses on financial accounting, market-based accounting, corporate finance, and governance, particularly examining the effects of bank regulation on borrowers' practices.
During her PhD, she supported the Education Development Office at Southampton Business School, overseeing dissertation programs and supervisor guidance. She also worked as a Supervisor of Foreign Issues at Konka Group Co., Ltd. (2015–2017). Key expertise includes corporate social responsibility, financial reporting, and the real effects of accounting practices.
Awarded Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), her teaching includes the module MN-M009: Financial Reporting and Statement Analysis, focusing on financial statement preparation and decision-making applications.
