Dr. Sun Hye Lee is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Strategy and International Business at the Surrey Business School, University of Surrey. She holds a PhD from Warwick Business School, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and BAs from Korea University. Her research focuses on corporate social irresponsibility, sustainability, digital transformation, AI, and geopolitics in management strategy. She previously taught at Loughborough University.
Dr. Lee’s research explores how interorganizational governance and institutional distance affect offshore outsourcing ethics, emission trading schemes, and collaborative frameworks for labor issues in global supply chains. She has advised PhD student Nawaf Alsharekh and teaches MAN2096 International Business. Notable publications include studies on CSR failures in global supply chains and design outsourcing strategies.
Her work bridges theoretical and practical aspects of managing global business operations ethically, with a focus on mitigating risks through innovative governance models. Current research trends emphasize digital transformation’s role in sustainability and geopolitical influences on corporate strategy.
