Suellynn Duffey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, specializing in writing pedagogy, place-based literacy, and institutional cultures. She administers undergraduate writing programs and has held leadership roles in writing program administration at multiple institutions. Her research explores intersections of place, literacy, and gender, with a current focus on literacy in the Midwest heartland. Duffey has received grants for projects related to writing across the curriculum, classroom technology, and de-tracking first-year writing students.
