Lauren Obermark is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, specializing in Rhetoric and Composition. Her work focuses on rhetoric's role in citizenship, social justice, and pedagogy, with a particular emphasis on civically engaged communication. She holds a Ph.D. in English (Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy) from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a B.S. in Secondary English Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
