Professor Sue Bridgewater is a Professor of Marketing and Sports Business at the University of Liverpool Management School since 2013. She previously held roles at Warwick Business School for over two decades. She founded and directed/co-directed the Centre for Sports Business (2016–2025) and oversees Executive Education with a focus on sports leadership. Her research spans sports marketing, international marketing, and equality in sport. She advises global clients including UEFA, Qatar’s Josoor Institute, and the League Managers Association (LMA), where she has directed the Football Managers Diploma for over 20 years. She serves as UEFA’s Research Grants and Awards Panel member and is an Ambassador for Women in Football (2023–present).
Education: MBA and PhD from Warwick Business School. Research interests emphasize strategic marketing in elite sports, brand management, and gender equity. Over 30 years of academic and practitioner engagement in football, cricket, rugby, and hockey sectors.
