Dr Stuart Palmer is a Lecturer and Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with Murray Edwards College and Lucy Cavendish College. He specializes in the history of early modern popular politics and culture, with a focus on religious change in 16th-century Britain.
Education:
- PhD in Medieval and Early Modern Studies, University of Kent
- MA in History, University of York
His research examines how religious reforms impacted provincial urban political culture, particularly during the Reformation. He has published works on topics such as urban reform in Henrician Canterbury and the role of book printing in Protestant reforms in Kent.
Stuart contributes to the Cambridge Foundation Year Programme as a Director of Studies and has taught at institutions including the University of Kent, University of East Anglia, and Sidney Sussex College. He is actively involved in widening access to higher education through various outreach initiatives.
