Stewart Barr is a Professor of Geography at the University of Exeter's Department of Geography, housed within the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. He holds a BA (1995–1998) and PhD (1998–2001) in Geography from the University of Exeter. His research focuses on public engagement with environmental challenges like climate change, sustainable practices, and community resilience. He has held academic positions from Lecturer (2003–2007) to Senior Lecturer (2008–2012), Associate Professor (2012–2015), and currently Professor since 2015.
