Steven Zuryn

Associate Professor Steven Zuryn is a molecular geneticist at the Queensland Brain Institute, University of Queensland, within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. He leads an international team studying epigenetics and mitochondrial biology to uncover mechanisms linking mitochondrial dysfunction to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. His research has been published in Science, Nature Cell Biology, and Cell Metabolism, with funding from NHMRC, ARC, and the Stafford Fox Medical Research Foundation.
