Steven Zopfi is a Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Puget Sound, where he oversees four choirs and teaches conducting and applied voice. He leads the award-winning Adelphian Concert Choir and has held prior appointments at Penn State University, the University of Washington, and Pacific Lutheran University. His work focuses on choral performance, music education, and historical repertoire interpretation.

As Artistic Director of the Tacoma Bach Festival and former leader of the Portland Symphonic Choir, he champions collaborative performances with orchestras such as the Oregon Symphony. He has prepared choruses for renowned conductors including Carlos Kalmar and Bernard Labadie and is a sought-after clinician and adjudicator.
