Dr. Leann Conley-Holcom is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral & Vocal Activities at Seattle University since 2018. She also serves as the Music Program Director (since July 2023) and Interim Director of Music (2022–2023). Her affiliations include roles with the College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of Performing Arts and Arts Leadership on the First Hill campus.
Education:
- Bachelor of Music (Voice) – Pacific Lutheran University
- Master of Music (Choral Conducting) – Northern Arizona University
- Doctor of Musical Arts (Choral Conducting) – University of Washington
Dr. Conley-Holcom specializes in choral conducting, vocal performance, and music education. She has led choirs globally, including the GRAMMY award-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy and the Tacoma Youth Chorus. Her work spans freelance singing with top ensembles like the Oregon Bach Festival and True Concord Voices, as well as solo performances at Carnegie Hall. She is a cofounder of the professional treble ensemble MUSING and serves on the Board of Pacific MusicWorks. She chairs the College and University Repertoire & Resources committee for the Washington State chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.
She is an active member of the National Collegiate Choral Organization, College Music Society, and National Association of Teachers of Singing. Upcoming highlights include a 2024 Carnegie Hall conducting debut with MidAmerica Productions.
Labs/Teams: MUSING (professional treble ensemble), Pacific MusicWorks (Board Member), and leadership roles in regional choral organizations.
