Steven E. Abraham

Steven E. Abraham is a Professor in the School of Business at SUNY Oswego, specializing in employment law, labor relations, and human resource management. He holds a BS in Labor Relations from Cornell University (1980), a JD from New York University School of Law (1983), and a PhD in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1992). As a member of the New York State Bar, he brings practical legal experience from his five years practicing labor/employment law in New York City.

His research explores the intersection of law and human resource management, examining legal frameworks impacting workplace dynamics and union-management relations. Current projects investigate regulatory compliance and dispute resolution mechanisms.

Professor Abraham has received multiple honors including SUNY's Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship (2008) and President's Awards for both scholarship (2005) and advisement (2004). He actively participates in faculty governance as a past president of the United University Professions union.
