Steven Brown

Steven Brown is Professor of Health and Organisational Psychology at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. His research develops an expanded view of psychological embedding within social practices and organizational settings, with focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Research areas include: (1) practice-based approaches to institutional remembering, particularly 'vital memories' in vulnerable populations; and (2) lived experience of mental health services, conceptualized as 'vital spaces' in forensic settings.

He serves as co-editor of Memory Studies journal and trustee of the Sociological Review Foundation and Design in Mental Health Network UK. His work employs interdisciplinary approaches spanning psychology, sociology, and organizational theory.
