Steve Shaw is a Faculty Research Librarian at Antioch University's Graduate School of Leadership and Change, where he has worked since 2011. He previously served as Director of the McGregor Library at Antioch University Midwest and held roles as an academic librarian in Texas and adjunct faculty member in New York and Texas.

Dr. Shaw specializes in assessment, social epistemology, and the history of thought, focusing on improving research processes and information organization. His Socratic approach to library instruction aims to reduce library anxiety and foster lifelong self-directed learning among students.
He is actively involved in professional activities, including book reviewing for academic publications and mentoring through the ACRL Distance and Online Learning Mentoring Program. Dr. Shaw is affiliated with organizations such as the American Library Association (ALA), Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and Ohio Library Council.
