Miriam L. Matteson is Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Communication and Information and a full Professor in the School of Information at Kent State University. Her portfolio includes oversight of graduate programs, doctoral studies, research initiatives, and global engagement. Her research examines emotion in the workplace, focusing on emotional labor, soft skills, and information literacy in library settings.
Research Interests: Dr. Matteson's work spans emotional intelligence in professional environments, information literacy pedagogy, and management education for librarians. She investigates how interpersonal skills and organizational dynamics impact library services and workforce development.
