Stevan Samardžić

Stevan Samardžić, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2011 and earned his doctorate from the same institution in 2018. His academic responsibilities include teaching practical classes in Pharmacognosy, Phytotherapy, and Analysis of Herbal Drugs and Preparations for integrated academic studies, as well as conducting workshops in Phytotherapy I for specialist academic studies.

His primary research explores:

• LC-MS analysis of plant extract compositions
• Isolation of bioactive compounds via chromatographic techniques
• Structural and functional studies of flavonoids, anthocyanins, ellagitannins, proanthocyanidins, and other polyphenolic compounds

These investigations bridge analytical chemistry with phytotherapeutic applications.
