Sterling Bone is a Professor of Marketing and Director of the Huntsman ProSales Program at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Utah State University. He holds a PhD from Oklahoma State University (2006), an MBA (2001), and a BA (2000) from Utah State University. His research focuses on reducing disparities in financial services for diverse consumers, consumer resilience in crises, and customer experience management. His work has influenced U.S. federal agencies and been featured in major media outlets.
Key research areas include racial and gender disparities in financial access, post-terrorist marketplace recovery, and service quality equity. His findings have been presented to the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Department of Justice. He has also pioneered studies on B2B peer-to-peer problem-solving communities and customer feedback mechanisms.
