Ayse Sapci

Ayse Sapci is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and will be a Visiting Professor at Yale University in Fall 2024. Her research centers on macroeconomics and financial economics, with particular emphasis on housing markets, financial intermediation, and monetary policy transmission mechanisms.

Dr. Sapci has published extensively in leading economics journals including Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and Eastern Economic Journal. Her current research examines banking sector dynamics, land price fluctuations, and monetary policy impacts on housing markets.

She received her PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University and previously served as Assistant Professor at Colgate University. Honors include Teacher of the Year (2024) and Undergraduate Mentor of the Year awards at Utah State.
