Stephen Roberts is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Northumbria University with over 20 years of professional experience in public and private architectural practice. His research focuses on reconfiguring overlooked heritage infrastructures to address regional climate solutions and sustainable land use. He leads practice-led projects exploring farming methods, ecological viability, and socio-political strategies in the North East of England.
Roberts holds qualifications from the University of Humberside and Leeds Metropolitan University, including an Architecture BA (Hons) and PGDip, alongside professional certifications from the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). His teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs, emphasizing innovative curriculum design and pedagogical authenticity.
