Dr. Stephanie Shelburne serves as Adjunct Professor in the Mind-Body Medicine department at Saybrook University. She holds a PhD from Saybrook University (2014), NhD from Clayton College (2009), and MA from California Institute of Integrative Studies (2004). Her professional identity as a 'food/mood doctor' reflects her focus on nutritional approaches to nervous system regulation and trauma recovery.
Research concentrates on trauma-induced eating disorders, dietary resilience, and food sovereignty. As Executive Director of Live Life Resources, she leads initiatives in resilience education and regenerative agriculture. Teaching emphasizes critical thinking in nutrition science and wellness education.
Publications include the 2020 Journal of Humanistic Psychology article on spontaneous recovery from eating disorders and 'Taste and Flavor 365' (2025). Professional affiliations include International Association of Trauma Professionals and American Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
