Stephanie Albers

Stephanie Albers is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the School of Professional Studies, Peru State College. She combines her academic work with a full-time role as a Disability Support Services/Advocacy Counselor at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.

• PhD in Developmental Psychology from University of Nebraska (2021)
• MA in Community Counseling from University of Nebraska (2008)
• BA in Psychology from Peru State College (2005)

Her research and practice focus on clinical psychology, particularly mental health counseling and recovery from eating disorders. She has also contributed to developmental psychology and community counseling through her academic background.

In her professional work, she advocates for individuals with disabilities while volunteering with organizations dedicated to eating disorder recovery, including the Eating Disorder Foundation, ANAD, National Alliance for Eating Disorders, and Project HEAL.
