Stephanie Sandland

Dr. Stephanie Sandland is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategy and Leadership at the University of East London (UEL), part of the Royal Docks School of Business and Law. She has been at UEL since 1999, serving in roles such as Lead Personal Tutor, Leader in Teaching and Learning, and Programme Leader. She holds a PhD in Sustainable Development and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Member of the Chartered Management Institute, and certified Microsoft Innovative Educator.

Her research focuses on sustainability, particularly the cultural impact on sustainable behaviors, and education technology. Notable projects include an H2020-funded study on sustainable practices in European capitals (2012) and an Erasmus+ initiative developing a platform for social entrepreneurship education (2017). She has also contributed to UEL’s academic integrity Moodle site and pioneered online learning modules accommodating diverse learning styles, including support for dyslexic students.
