Dawn Ludick is a Senior Lecturer at the University of East London (UEL), affiliated with the School of Childhood and Social Care and the Department of Social Work, Counselling & Social Care. She has worked at UEL since 2007, previously serving as MA in Social Work Programme Leader (2009-2012).

Her research focuses on gestalt play therapy, creative therapeutic methods (sand work, drama/music therapy), and diversity in multicultural societies. She explores the intersection of cultural belief systems with social work ethics, particularly in child protection contexts.
Recent professional activities include supervising doctoral research on dyslexic social work students (2020) and supporting the UEL Verbatim Formula project (2017-2019) with Queen Mary University London, focusing on career pathways for care leavers.
