Dr Stephanie Myers is a Senior Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Sunderland, specialising in small-molecule drug discovery and development, particularly in the areas of cancer therapeutics and rare metabolic diseases. She holds an MSc in Drug Chemistry from Newcastle University and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the same institution, completed under the auspices of Cancer Research UK.

Research Interests: Her research focuses on de novo drug design, hit-to-lead and lead-optimisation strategies, synthesis of natural product derivatives, development of kinase and kinesin inhibitors for oncology applications, and prodrug strategies targeting rare genetic disorders such as cystinuria and Wilson's disease.
