Dr. Noha Ziedan is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the BSc Chemistry programme at the University of Chester, School of Natural Sciences. She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Cardiff University and has held academic positions at institutions including Zagazig University and Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on discovering novel small molecules for disease treatment, particularly in cancer research, including selective apoptosis induction in cancer cells, protein-protein interactions as drug targets, and development of inhibitors for kinesin and the COVID-19 main protease. She teaches Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry.

- Exploring protein-protein interactions for drug targeting
- Development of kinesin inhibitors and SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibitors
Professional Contributions: Noha has supervised postgraduate research and held roles such as PBL Tutor at St George’s University of London and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and actively contributes to academic leadership in chemistry education.
