Stephanie Luce

Stephanie Luce is Professor of Labor Studies at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies and Professor of Sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center. She currently chairs the Labor Studies Department and has previously held leadership positions including Acting Academic Director of Labor Studies at the Joseph S. Murphy Center. Her academic roles include graduate program directorship and research leadership at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Labor Center.

Her research examines labor movements and economic justice through four primary lenses: low-wage work dynamics, living wage campaigns, globalization's impact on labor standards, and labor-community coalitions. She employs mixed-methods approaches to analyze power structures in wage policy implementation and worker mobilization strategies.

Publications since 2005 demonstrate consistent focus on wage justice and labor movements, with recent work emphasizing:
