Stephanie Larsen

Stephanie Larsen serves as a Communication Studies Instructor and Senior Instructional Designer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), with over seven years of teaching experience. She concurrently holds the position of Associate Director for the Center for Competencies, Skills and Workforce Development within the Division of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives (ILCI), where she develops online curriculum and mentors faculty in digital pedagogy.

Her educational foundation includes a B.S. in Communication from UNO (2010) and an M.A. in Managerial Communication from Bellevue University, complemented by a graduate certification in Executive Coaching. Prior to academia, she served as a Workforce Development Specialist for United States Strategic Command, designing professional development modules and coaching Air Force leadership.

Stephanie's professional focus centers on advancing online education through innovative instructional design and faculty development. Her expertise bridges communication theory, workforce training, and leadership coaching, with particular emphasis on creating scalable digital learning solutions and enhancing educator competencies in virtual environments.

As a core member of the ILCI team, she drives university-wide initiatives impacting students, faculty, and community stakeholders. Her work reflects a commitment to accessible education rooted in her identity as a proud UNO alumna who has been part of the institution since 2008.
