Stephanie Kulaga

Dr. Stephanie Kulaga is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, board-certified in general adult psychiatry. She provides clinical care at the University of Maryland, Midtown Campus inpatient unit and the RAISE program for recent-onset psychosis.

Research examines inflammation in schizophrenia, psychiatric nosology, and trauma-informed approaches to psychosis treatment. Recent publications analyze COVID-19's implications for psychosis, nutrition in schizophrenia management, and hormonal correlates of childhood trauma. Her work seeks to integrate neurobiological mechanisms with clinical interventions for severe mental illness.
