Dr. Stephanie Korenic is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Department of Psychology, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), affiliated with the EQUIPS Lab. Her work focuses on clinical psychology, early psychosis, sleep neurobiology, and neuroimaging. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University (2024).
Research Interests: Dr. Korenic employs multidisciplinary approaches to study psychosis risk, sleep-symptom interactions, and digital interventions for early psychosis. Her work integrates big data analytics, passive sensing, and neuroimaging to address mechanistic questions in schizophrenia and psychosis risk states.
Publications span 2016–2024, with key contributions in Journal of Psychiatric Research, Neuropsychopharmacology, and Scientific Data. Topics include glutamate metabolism in schizophrenia, developmental trajectories of psychotic-like experiences, and sleep quality biomarkers.
