Stephanie Bonner

LCDR Stephanie Bonner, DNP, CRNA, serves as Assistant Professor, Research Director, and Assistant Phase II Site Director for the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Uniformed Services University. She is stationed at Navy Medical Center Portsmouth, VA.

Her research focuses on utilizing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to stratify aspiration risk during general anesthesia, aiming to enhance perioperative safety protocols. Military medical operations and trauma care methodologies represent additional areas of professional engagement.

With 17 years of naval service, she has held leadership roles including Anesthesia Department Head at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pensacola and Division Officer at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms. Operational deployments include service in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
