George Jakubek

George Jakubek is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and serves as the Navy's Specialty Leader for Neurology. He is stationed at the Navy Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. His military roles include operational medicine leadership, including as Group Medical Officer at Commander Submarine Group TEN and Head of Neurology at Naval Hospital Jacksonville.

• Neurology Residency: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (2012–2015)
• Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (2021–2022)

Research & Expertise: Focuses on neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and military medicine, with experience in submarine medicine, diving medicine, and pandemic response during the COVID-19 crisis. His operational roles included deploying to Afghanistan and overseeing neurologic care for thousands of beneficiaries.
