Stephanie A. Vaughan is a Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law, where she has taught since 1996 after earning her JD from the same institution. She holds a BA from the University of Alabama. Professor Vaughan teaches Legal Research and Writing, Interviewing/Counseling/Negotiation, Legal Drafting, and International Sales & Arbitration. Her career includes commercial litigation practice at Tew, Zinober, Barnes, Zimmet, & Unice, covering areas like municipal law, insurance liability, and appellate briefs.
Her research focuses on legal advocacy pedagogy, oral argument techniques, and experiential learning methodologies, with particular emphasis on integrating classical rhetoric into modern legal education. She also researches international arbitration frameworks and practical skill development for law students.
Professor Vaughan's publications demonstrate consistent focus on advocacy training innovations, with recent works exploring teaching assistant integration (2025) and rhetorical foundations of oral argument (2017). Earlier publications examine persuasion mechanics (2009) and arbitration education (2006).
