معرفی
Stephane Regnier is an Associate Professor in Mathematics at Northumbria University (Newcastle upon Tyne). He holds a PhD in Physics from Université Paris-Sud and has conducted research at institutions including Montana State University, ESTEC, and the University of Central Lancashire. His work focuses on solar magnetic fields, coronal dynamics, and numerical modeling. He has supervised PhD students Lewis Dean (since 2024) and Harry Birch (since 2022).
Research Interests: Stephane specializes in solar physics, magnetic reconnection, and coronal structure. His studies explore magnetic null points in X-class flares, oscillatory reconnection processes, and solar wind disturbances. He employs advanced methods like the Rolling Hough Transform and potential field extrapolations to analyze solar phenomena.
- Awarded Fellowships: FHEA (2016), RAS (2014), and AAS (2014) memberships.
- Professional Activities: Invited talks at conferences (e.g., Magnetic Universe 2023), peer reviews for The Astrophysical Journal, and supervision of Nuffield Summer Studentships.
Recent Articles (2019–2025): Focus on coronal magnetic field dynamics, flare mechanisms, and solar-wind interactions. Key contributions include modeling oscillatory reconnection and identifying coronal sources of solar wind disturbances.
