Dr. Stella Leivadi is a Professor and Program Coordinator of the Sports Management program at the American College of Greece (ACG). She holds a PhD in Sport, Leisure and Exercise Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Her academic career includes tenured roles at Middle Tennessee State University, the University of Miami, and Florida International University, alongside teaching collaborations with foreign universities such as the University of Wales and Northumbria University. Dr. Leivadi has extensive experience with Olympic Games Organizing Committees (ATHENS 2004, LONDON 2012, RIO 2016), focusing on sponsorship evaluation and legacy planning.
Her research emphasizes sport tourism, leisure behavior, and quality of life. Notable areas include the socio-economic impacts of sport events, Olympic venue utilization, and generational workforce dynamics. She teaches courses on research methods, sport management, and Olympic mega-events.
