Stella Kourembanas is the Clement A. Smith Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Chief of the Division of Newborn Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital, and Chair of the Harvard Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Program.

Her NIH-funded research investigates molecular mechanisms of neonatal lung injury and repair, pioneering stem cell-derived extracellular vesicle therapies for pulmonary hypertension and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. She established innovative clinical programs in neonatal genomics, neuroimaging, and regenerative medicine.
