Stefan Nikolic is a Lecturer in Economics at Loughborough Business School since September 2023. Previously, he worked at Bocconi University (Italy) and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York (2017) and an MSc in Economic History from LSE (2012). His research focuses on spatial inequalities in economic performance, combining historical data with modern econometric methods. He co-directs the Centre for South-East European Economic History.
