Asad Zaidi

Asad Zaidi is a Researcher affiliated with the University of Westminster's Department of International Relations. His work focuses on the history of war, empire, and global Cold War dynamics, particularly examining Pakistan's socio-political encounters with Cold War geopolitics. He holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Birmingham and an MSc in Middle East Politics from SOAS, University of London. Zaidi has taught at the London School of Economics (LSE) and contributed to academic initiatives such as the Millennium Journal of International Studies as deputy editor, the IR502 International Theory Workshop, and the Pakistan Critical Studies Reading Group. His research bridges historical analysis and IR theory to challenge Eurocentric frameworks, emphasizing postcolonial and decolonial perspectives.
