Asad Zaidi

Asad Zaidi is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster, teaching courses including Introduction to International Relations, Critical Approaches to World Politics, and Theories of International Security. He holds a PhD in International Relations from LSE and is an ESRC fellow.

His research examines empire, war, and struggles for modern world order through interdisciplinary approaches combining history and theory. Current work focuses on decolonization in political theory and Pakistani engagements in the Afghan-Soviet War. Zaidi investigates Cold War geopolitics through anti-imperial histories, interrogating Eurocentrism in international political thought and exploring connections between war, empire, and resistance.
